1.Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bebz (“we”, “us”, “our”) covering the Lumo app for iOS, the Lumo Plus subscription, and this website (together, the “Service”).

By downloading, installing, or using Lumo, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

The end-user licence for Lumo is Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms are supplemental — they add the community rules for social features and the purchase and subscription details Apple requires us to give you. Where they conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA governs the licence to use the app.

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2.Licence to use Lumo

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use Lumo on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the app, except as applicable law expressly permits
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or attempt to derive its source code
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the app
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices
  • Use automated means to access the Service, or interfere with its normal operation

We retain all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, avatar artwork, and trade marks. These Terms grant you a licence, not a sale — nothing here transfers ownership of the app to you.

3.Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 to use Lumo.

Habit tracking works without an account. To use social features we create an anonymous account for you, identified by a random Lumo ID of the form LUMO-XXXX-XX. You may optionally add a nickname and a recovery email so the account can be restored.

You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and your device. If you did not provide a recovery email and you lose access to your device, we may be unable to restore your account. Tell us promptly at abdullahlingga@gmail.com if you believe your account has been misused.

4.Purchases and subscription terms

Lumo is free to start: up to 3 habits and 3 journal entries, with streaks, progress, the journal with photos, and your avatar. There are two separate paid options — you can buy either, both, or neither. Lumo Plus does not lift the habit or journal limits, and Unlimited Habits & Journals does not include social features.

Lumo Plus — social features

  • An auto-renewable subscription at ₱49/month (product lumo.friends.monthly) that unlocks groups, roll call, shared streaks, the weekly MVP, cheers and nudges, the group activity log, and adding friends by Lumo ID or QR code.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within that 24-hour window, at the then-current price.
  • Manage or cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or from the App Store account menu. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

Unlimited Habits & Journals — lift the limits

  • A one-time purchase of ₱149 (product lumo.unlimited.lifetime) that removes the 3-habit and 3-entry limits.
  • It is not a subscription — nothing renews and nothing recurs. You can restore it on a new device with Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.

Price, and refunds

Prices are shown in the App Store before you confirm, may vary by region, and can change; for a subscription, Apple will ask you to confirm any new price before it takes effect. All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where a refund is required by law or granted under Apple’s policies, payments are non-refundable.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, statutory withdrawal and refund rights may apply in addition to the above; nothing here limits them.

5.Acceptable use and community rules

Lumo’s social features exist so people can encourage each other. Keep it that way. When using groups, shared habits, roll call, cheers, nudges, nicknames, or avatars, you must not post, send, or share content that:

  • Harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, or intimidates anyone
  • Is hateful or promotes violence or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic
  • Is illegal, or encourages or facilitates illegal activity
  • Is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way
  • Promotes self-harm, disordered eating, or dangerous behaviour presented as a habit
  • Infringes someone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
  • Impersonates another person, or misrepresents your affiliation with a person or organisation
  • Is spam, advertising, a scam, or a phishing attempt
  • Contains malware or attempts to compromise the Service or other users

Do not use nudges to pester people, and do not use group features to pressure or shame anyone. Lumo is meant to be gentle.

Enforcement. We may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate an account that breaches these rules — with notice where practicable, and without prior notice where the breach is serious or ongoing. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may do so.

To report a user or content, email abdullahlingga@gmail.com with the group name and, where possible, the Lumo ID involved. We aim to review reports within 2–3 business days.

6.Your content

“Your Content” means everything you create in Lumo: habits, journal entries and photos, your nickname and avatar, and anything you post to a group.

You own Your Content. Your habits, journal entries, and journal photos stay on your device — we do not upload or access them.

For content you deliberately share through social features, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service — for example, showing your check-in to the other members of your group. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in routine backups for a limited period.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.

Feedback. Suggestions you send us may be used to improve Lumo without restriction or obligation to you, and do not entitle you to compensation.

7.Availability and changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features; we may also suspend the Service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce functionality you have paid for, and where such a change materially reduces Lumo Plus, you may cancel through Apple as described above.

Social features depend on network connectivity and third-party services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

↑ Top

8.Termination

You may stop using Lumo at any time by deleting the app, and you may ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms (including the community rules), if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us or other users to harm or legal risk.

On termination, your licence ends and your access to social features stops. Terminating an account does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid, except where required by law or Apple’s policies. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Your content, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, and Governing law — survive termination.

9.Disclaimer of warranties

Lumo is not a medical or mental-health service. It does not provide medical, psychological, nutritional, or professional advice. Do not use it to diagnose or treat any condition, and speak to a qualified professional about health decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any defects will be corrected
  • Using Lumo will produce any particular result or habit outcome
  • Data stored on your device will be preserved — you are responsible for your own backups

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some or all of these exclusions may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Lumo Plus in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

↑ Top

11.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bebz and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you share through the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply where prohibited by law.

↑ Top

12.Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties — Apple for distribution and payments, Supabase for database, authentication and storage, and Expo for push notifications. Their terms and privacy policies govern their own services, and we are not responsible for them.

Links from Lumo or this website to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement.

13.Apple-specific terms

The following applies because Lumo is distributed through the App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Lumo and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Lumo.
  • If Lumo fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Lumo, including product liability, failure to conform to a legal requirement, or claims under consumer protection or privacy legislation.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that Lumo infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Lumo evolves. We will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.

↑ Top

15.Governing law and disputes

The licence to use Lumo is governed by the Apple Standard EULA. For these supplemental Terms, if you are a consumer the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live applies, and you keep the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives it to you.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please email abdullahlingga@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

16.General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Apple Standard EULA are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
